George Bleimes (V) George enlisted in the army so he could fly planes. During WWII he was stationed on Corsica and flew B-25 Bombers over Italy. After the war he was in the Ohio Air Guard at Lockbourne Air Force Base and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He had to go to Etain, France in 1961 and 1962 for the "Kennedy call-up of 1961". This call-up was a result of growing tension over the Berlin Wall.
