The Ruser Story (as told by George Sr)
This is about as vague as it gets: Not Emelie (a great great great Grandmother
of Lindsey and Ashley), but her brothers were rumored to have gone from
Schleswig-Holstein, around The Horn, to San Francisco along with their
dismantled house. A neat but unsubstantiated bit of lore. A handsome reward
awaits for the troop that puts evidence (of any kind) to this tale. One
theory is that it came from the mouth of Christian Ruser who wound up
in the Mendocino loony bin.
